The 26 LED spotlights incorporated into the umbrella are solar powered, meaning that you can enjoy efficient illumination in your garden all through the evening. The umbrella shade is water resistant and made from 180g fadeless polyester, protecting the colour from bleaching sun rays.
 
The Aurora is simple to open and close via its crank mechanism whilst the useful tilting feature ensures that you can follow the position of the sun and stay shaded throughout the day.
 
To ensure your parasol is rigid and stable, you need a parasol base to keep it secure and in place. Take a look at our parasol base, compatible with the Aurora.
 
Please note that the umbrella should be kept closed in harmful weather conditions such as strong winds or heavy rain. To ensure that any unpredictable weather does not cause any damage to the parasol, please keep it closed overnight.

When to return

Changed your mind about your order? Not a problem – simply let us know within 14 days of receipt of your goods that you wish to return your unwanted goods. You then have a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us.
Information regarding the return of damaged goods can be found at the bottom of this returns policy.
Please be aware that we will need to inspect and approve a return before issuing any refunds.

 

How to return

We kindly request that you put your returns request in writing to us and state whether you would like a refund, exchange or replacement. If you have purchased your item via our website, please inform us of your request via email at sales@garden-camping.com. If you have purchased your item via a third party sales channel such as eBay or Amazon, please inform us of your request via the respective third party chat/email.

Please note that you are liable for any transportation costs incurred to return your item(s).

Please be aware that any unwanted goods should be returned to us unused, in their original packaging, and in the condition in which you received them. Please check that all instructions and fixings for your item are included with your return.

If your order comes in multiple boxes, please ensure that all parts are returned to us in their original packing and in their original received condition.

Please ensure that you also request proof of postage from your chosen courier and notify us of your return tracking information at sales@garden-camping.com.

Returning an Unwanted Item

Changed your mind on your item? Not a problem!

Please let us know within 14 days of receipt of your goods, you'll then have an additional 14 days to return to us.

We kindly ask that you email us at sales@garden-camping.com with your order details and advise whether you would like a refund or exchange.

Please note that unwanted items are returned at the customer's expense and must be sent back unused and in the original packaging and condition in which they were received - this is also applicable to orders with multiple boxes.

Please also request proof of postage from your chosen courier and provide this in your email to us.

N.B. All items should be checked upon delivery, even if you are not planning on using your item straight away.

Returning a Faulty Item

We're sorry to hear that you have received a faulty item. 

In the event of your order arriving faulty or damaged, we kindly ask that you either reject the order upon delivery or sign for the item as damaged and then reach out to us at sales@garden-camping.com within 3 working days.

Please provide your order details, information about the fault/damage, and supporting images in your email to us.

Our team will review the information provided and, if a replacement is agreed, we will send this to you free of postage charges.

If you would prefer a refund, please kindly let us know and we will arrange collection of the faulty item.

N.B. Please be aware that we cannot accept any damaged claims after 3 working days of receipt of the order.

Receiving My Refund

Once we have confirmation that we have received your items, we will process your refund within 3-5 working days via your original payment method.

Alternatively, we will send out your replacement/exchange according to the above timescales if this has been requested instead of a refund

Please note that refunds for unwanted items do not include the original postage costs, only the amount of the product itself.

Product Care
Parasol Use & Care

Can your parasols stand-alone or do they need to be inserted into a table?

All of our parasols are made for use as a standalone item to eliminate the need for a table, allowing them to be easily placed and moved anywhere in your garden. All you need is a parasol base weight to steady and anchor the unit.

 

How do you clean your parasols?

Due to the water-resistant nature of the canopy and the anti-rust nature of the powder coated steel frame, our parasols are as easy to clean as possible. Warm water, a clean cloth, and a small dollop of detergent are all you need for a gentle clean. Just make sure not to scrub too hard as this could cause damage to the canopy or frame.

 

Are your parasols waterproof?

Whilst our parasols are water-resistant and will be effective in light showers, they are not fully waterproof. We strongly recommend taking down your parasol during a heavier shower or downpour as too much rain exposure can lead to damage. You should always make sure your parasol is dry before packing it away; trapped moisture can cause mould and damp to develop on the fabric.

 

Can I use a parasol anywhere else or just in the garden?

A parasol can be used wherever you fancy using it, although they are primarily crafted for garden use. Our parasols are all easy to dismantle and put back together so that you can take them anywhere with you. If you regularly find yourself requiring shade when not at home, we would recommend the use of a portable shelter – such as an event shelter– that is specifically designed for taking away to al fresco events such as camping, picnics, trips away, etc.

 

Should I collapse my parasol when I’m not using it?

We would heartily recommend collapsing your parasol when not in use. Leaving your parasol unattended can lead to damages to the parasol and/or other property. The airy design of a parasol means that it is very susceptible to damage from winds and can easily be knocked over or blown away by a strong gust.

 

Can I spike my parasol into the ground?

We do not recommend that you spike your parasol into the ground. Whilst it can work, it will also damage the bottom of your parasol pole and, with no proper anchorage in place, it can be blown over or away by strong winds. We always recommend using a base weight or permanently fixing the base to a patio or decking.

 

Do your parasols come with a base weight?

Our parasols do not come with base weights, however, these can be purchased separately on our dedicated parasol base weights page. The range includes different base styles to suit your specific parasol model.

 

My parasol flexes in light wind, is this normal?

This is completely normal. If the parasol was too stiff and rigid it would be at risk of snapping, even in a slight breeze, so some movement in the parasol should be expected. You should be weary of the space around the parasol and make sure that nothing can be damaged from any movement.

 

I’ve bought a parasol with LED lights. Where is the solar panel?

The solar panel will be included in the packaging that you receive your parasol in. It will be located in a white polystyrene packaging in a square insert. Make sure you check all of the packaging thoroughly before disposing of it.
