Rattan Garden Furniture

Transform your garden or patio with a stylish set of Rattan garden furniture. With their simplistic and classy design, you can turn any outdoor space from boring into beautiful. Every garden needs a comfortable seating area for you to enjoy the good weather while it lasts, and with expertly crafted rattan furniture like our own, you can have your cosy seating area for many years to come.

What is rattan? Rattan is a thin type of cane. It grows around larger trees in the damper regions of Africa, Malaysia and the Philippines, and has been used for centuries to create woven furniture. By being cut into thin strips, the material can be easily intertwined into many different patterns, creating different looks and styles for your individual taste. To make the timeless style of rattan more affordable, we have created a range of synthetic rattan furniture from a combination of durable plastics and steel in such a great way that you won’t be able to tell the difference.

What’s the difference between rattan and wicker? The first and foremost difference is that wicker isn’t a material; wicker is actually the technique of weaving a variety of wickerwoods – such as rattan, willow or bamboo – together to create furniture. This method is thought to originate from Ancient Egypt, when swamp grass and reeds were used to create carrying baskets and tables for the middle class.

Can your rattan furniture be left outside? Yes it can! Our range is made from durable weather resistant materials to make them perfect for use all year round. If you were to test this against other wooden or metal furniture, our synthetic rattan would be in the best shape by the time spring rolls around round. Just give them a clean every now and then to keep them looking fresh.
